Wow,these are the wildest cuff links,they are very different from anything I've seen before.They are accented with gold.They have swords and very unusual tops.They are 900 silver and are marked such.They measure 1/2 inch long by 1/4 inch wide,the bar is a sword and measures 1 1/8 inch long.These weight 13.8 grams

This is a great ring for the man who likes modernist jewelry. It is a simple band with what appears to be a handwrought stamped and hammered texture. Purchased in Woodstock NY, well known artist's colony and home of bohemian beats and hippies.

I’ve seen many hammered silver wire rings like this before, but this one is very well made--not bendable, and it is soldered at the back. Reminiscent of pieces by Alexander Calder and Henry Steig, it is another great piece for the man who likes modernist jewelry, or of course for a woman with larger fingers.

This is a handsome ring in simple, modernist style set with a large piece of amber. Close examination of the setting shows how it was skillfully hammered to shape. Signed for Georg Kramer, founded in 1771 and making silver and amber jewelry since 1932.

Not much is known about Felice, the maker of this lovely ring. According to Marbeth Schon, she worked in New York City in the 1950s along with other great modernist jewelers like Paul Lobel, Frank Rebajes, Ed Weiner, Sam Kramer and Idela La Vista. , Her mark is shown in Schon’s book, Modernist Jewelry 1930-1960. Simple and graceful sterling setting holds a 3/4” moss agate cabochon.

These good-looking earrings for pierced ears have a interesting collapsed, organic design that reminds me of the work of George Ohr, the iconoclastic arts and crafts potter. Each earring has a hollowed textured area adding to the design. Very unusual--I don’t remember seeing another pair like this.

Marks:Marked sterling and maker’s mark: back-to-back RR. I’d love to know if anyone knows whose mark this is.

This is a very interesting modernist pendant in the style of Ed Wiener (see illustration in Marbeth Schon’s Modernist Jewelry 1930-1960, p. 67), but like so many pieces of the period, it is unsigned. Interesting features include the sculptural boxlike construction, the half bezel,half prong setting of the moonstone and the cut out, dipping platform. It is a good size--2 3/8” x 2”.
