A nicely designed late Victorian 1-1/2" sterling silver coin holder, fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1890-1. This holder has two inner pinions, which would have mounted a bezel-set coin, which could be rotated around the axis. This pin has a loop for a safety pin and chain (not present) and it has a somewhat obscured maker's mark. Victorian splendor reigns here. Wonderful example of paste, silver, authentic pearl pin. Stones are all clean and original, settings are masterful and pearls are real. The proportions are superb including the bottom dangle which moves on its own and we are able to offer this at a unbelievable price. Circa 1840. 1 7/8" across and almost 2" down. Fantastic on a coat, jacket, sweater or even an evening bag.

If you want to have a long life, rub a turtle's back. I don't know if that is true but I don't like to tempt fate. Needless to say this item is from my own collection. Wonderful Victorian pin with a delicious mabe pearl surrounded by perfectly matched and all original paste stones and original "c" clasp. Measures 1 1/2" by 1 7/8" . Eyes are red stones that look like garnets but could be paste as well. This turtle will win the race every time.
