Superb example of a Victorian Scottish agate brooch. Designed in the shape of a dirk, it was originally used to adorn the tartans. It is Victorian, circa 1860 and is sterling, and hand engraved. The agates are a very lovely choice of mauves and bloodstone. The top agate is quite a unique choice of color and well chosen to offset the other three agates. The three contrasting stones are faceted crytals which have been foiled back for color and set in silver collets. This dirk is extremely well don... Click for details

This is a very nice silver gilt scarf pin in the shape of a twisted snake with small red stone eyes. Very likely a French piece, as it has a small touchmark with looks like an eagle’s head.
There is a small pin on the inside to prevent the pin from sliding off the scarf, and the piece is hinged on one side. Quite striking when worn with a colorful scarf.
Condition: Fine.... Click for details
