This is a beautiful Austro Hungarian silver pendant. Done in high relief showing a cherub riding an eagle with the north wind behind. The eagle is sitting on a semi circular base, which has five bezel set turquoises around the front circumference. A fine Victorian style Continental ring in gilt 900 silver with prong set Bohemian garnets. The ring has European hallmarks of a bunny rabbit and also g2 and 900 for silver content. This brooch is Scottish,circa 1860. Brooches like these were fashioned to secure the tartans and were finely designed and executed. This particular form is called a Skindhu and was used on the kilts. The agates are rich in color and contrast using jasper,bloodstone and mustard tones. the mounts are sterling with superior hand engraving. The top is a faceted crystal which is foiled back. These Austro Hungarian circa 1900 earrings are unusual in design. They have a double eagle head motif with deep purple amethyst that are foiled back and accented with natural pearls. The earrings are silver gilt with a rich patina and detailed engraving both front and back. Although unmarked, they have all the design elements of Austro-Hungarian jewelry.
