Antique Natural Amber Bead Necklace Circa. 1900. The Baltics. Graduated amber beads, from 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch, and hand-knotted between each bead. Recently re-strung. Original brass barrel clasp. Amber tested with refractive index liquid. The 30 inch necklace is in excellent original condition.

The fresh water pearl necklace has a large irregular and very beautiful pearl pendant mounted in sterling silver. It is marked 925. The necklace has a toggle clasp and measures 18 inches. The pendant measures 2 inches long by 1 inch across.

Natural Pink Pearl Necklace Circa. 1980 Japan. Pink cultured pearls. 81 pearls, 13 mm. each, with a wonderful pink color. Grown in Japan. The strand is 36 inches, so it can be worn as a single or double strand. 18K white gold clasp with approximately 1.0 carats of 122 fine white full cut diamonds. Clasp tested with 18K acid. Diamonds tested with a diamond tester. In pristine condition.

While these would be worn as a prized vintage glass necklace, this lovely Czechoslovakian glass bead necklace (its original paper label is still intact!) has a unique history: they're actually Mardi Gras beads, thrown in a New Orleans parade sometime ca. 1920 - 30. This beautiful apple green jade necklace measures 33 inches long. The beads are 10 mm. There is a Chinese silver pendant on the side that measures 1 1/4 inches top to bottom and 1 inch side to side. Six of the beads are beautifully carved. There is an old jade button for a clasp.

These pearls are just beautiful and in excellent condition. They are genuine. The necklace is made of 7mm round pearls surrounded with 3mm seed pearls to form a floral design. It is 16.5 inches in length and 1/2 inch in width. It is recently restrung and has a nice push clasp set with a pearl as well. It comes with a matching bracelet measuring 7 inches in length with a spring ring clasp.

Our research has revealed that seed pearl earrings were associated with bridal jewelry or with young women, and were worn in the early Victorian period. For the most part, earrings of seed pearls were in the form of knots, vines and berries. This pair is unlike any other we have seen.
