LLADRO Scheherazade Nude With Mandolin c1999 Ceramic Limited Edition 428/500 LLADRO "SCHEHERAZADE" CERAMIC LIMITED EDITION 428/500 This stunning and highly collectible Lladro ceramic is in mint condition, and was sculpted by Alfredo Lorens in 1999, the same year it was retired. It is finished in Gres and measures 13.75" in height not including its base. The studio quality pieces are among the best pieces made by Lladro and are highly sought after due to their quality and scarceness.

German composer Robert Schumann (1810 - 1856) is the subject of this thoughtful treatment of one of the great music writers and critics of the Romance era.

The nearly all white sculpture depicts the musician in a pensive focused gaze, carved in simple but expressive lines. The economy of carving contrasts with many 19th century styles which were more extravagant in their renderings of their subjects.

Mexican Folk Art Day of the Dead La Catrina beaded statue with a rotating skull. Decorated with thousands of tiny beads, each was hand placed one by one, to create sacred designs and patterns of the ancient Huichols. Made by Huichol artisans from the Sierra de Nayarit in Mexico, this piece took months to make. Base is terracotta and it is in excellent condition measuring 3 feet high, 11" deep, and 8" across.

Circa 1965 red free form metal sculpture on a black wooden base by George Curtis (1923-2010). Curtis developed a unique way of creating freedom as opposed to formal structure sculptures. Using a 5 gallon pail filled with water and potatoes, he would melt scrap aluminum and pour it into the pail. The result was an unvisualized form that humans have never seen before, a representation of the shape of spaces and caverns between objects. Measures 15" high.
