Included here are two gilt metal (apparently spelter) plaques dating from the nineteenth century, mounted on wooden panels, depicting helmeted Greek soldiers of the Phygian-Chalcidian period, circa fourth century BC. The figure on the left wears a helmet surmounted with winged horses, while the other wears a helmet surmounted by a spiked crest. Wooden panels measure 24 by 15.75 in (62 by 40 cm). This aluminum sculpture by Israeli-born artist, Menashe Kadishman (1932-) is entitled Checkpoint (In Suspense). It is one of a limited edition of six and is signed and dated 1972. Measures 10.5 x 4.25 x 21 inches (26.7 cm x 53.3 cm x 10.8 cm). Large versions of this sculpture reside in the collections at the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Museum in Duisburg, and the Storm King Art Center in Mountainville NY...
A fine sterling silver sculpture of a Yatch in full sail featuring gold inlay bands on the sail. Titled "Yacth" by Japanese master artist Seki Takehiko, it is in excellent condition the sculpture measures 5.5" high.

This unusual metal sculpture is believed to date from the mid-twentieth century. Its form and patina are reminiscent of the sculpture of Lynn Chadwick and Paul Evans.
