A watercolor painting of tropical hibiscus, signed at lower left by listed California artist MARCIA A. PATRICK (1875-1964). The work measures 16 1/2" by 11 1/2" inside the mat and 22 1/2" by 17 3/4" framed. Patrick was in Los Angeles by 1910. A physician, she is known to have painted florals and landscapes. In 1937 the prestigious Stendahl Gallery held an exhibition of her work. Patrick was active in local art clubs, including Painters and Sculptors of Los Angeles, in 1936-37...

Watercolor on paper, 9 1/8" by 6 3/4" inside the mat (14 1/4" by 11 5/8" in its simple green frame), unsigned, the subject a Spanish (most likely) church tower with arched and arcaded breezeways. I've opened this and don't find a signature nor other information. My best guess is that this would be one of the famous buildings in the south of Spain, such as Granada, Sevilla, etc., though I suppose it possible that it could be elsewhere in the Mediterranean region...

Original oil on panel by Jacques Koslowsky (Lithuanian, American, lived in Paris and Mallorca, 1904-1993) of a standing female nude, circa 1950-1960. Signed l.r. 24" by 12" painting alone, 28" by 16" in its frame. Koslowsky studied art in Florence and Paris. He had a studio in Montparnasse where he met the great School of Paris artists of the pre-war period. One of a number of works by this artist available in this web gallery.

A circa 1950's watercolor on heavy paper featuring a brick 19th century home on an orderly property including white split rail fencing, and a barn at right. Perhaps this is a gentleman's farm property in the eastern states, anywhere from Virginia through Ohio and up to New England. The artist, WILLIAM NETHERY, signed the watercolor at lower left and wrote "Passing Storm" on the mat at lower left, while also signing the mat again at lower right...
