Funny little cartoon by listed artist Lee Lorenz. Lorenz, born in 1933, is an American cartoonist, known for his work with the New Yorker. Though undated, we believe this original sketch is circa 1960. Pinkos, Punkos, Bleeding Hearts and Homosexuals, all in one. Lorenze was the New Yorkers Art Editor for 25 years 1973-1997). We do not know if this original cartoon sketch ever appeared in the New Yorker. Very good vintage condition (minimal creasing - see pics). Signed verso. Unframed.
Pencil drawing attributed to listed artist Helen Forbes. This original drawing titled "Sister Clementina" is part of a larger collection of works attributed to Helen Forbes, acquired by the estate of Erle Loran. Helen Forbes (1891-1945) was a muralist and painter. She contributed to the murals at the San Francisco zoo. This appears to be an outline for a possible mural. Though undated, we believe this to be circa 1930's / 1940's. Drawn on heavy paper...
