This painting may depict the Pissarro family riding on its way to town crossing a bridge. The mule is very reminiscent of the ones he painted in the tropics and later in France. Painted in water colors and gouache on paper in period frame in need of repair this is a most charming vignette.Although this painting is unsigned see his horse on farm 1874 and his mule paintings, also his later gouache painting of skies. Many of his gouache painting remained unsigned at his death.
