A thames sailing barge was a type of commercial sailing boat common on the River Thames in London in the 19th Century. The flat bottomed barges were perfectly adapted to the Thames Estuary, with its shallow waters and narrow rivers.
The barges also traded much further afield, to the North of England, South Coast and even continental European ports...

Exceptional Turkish large watercolor painting depicting the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul through trees, and on one side most probably the column of Constantine.
This is truly a work of art very well executed by a true artist, the painting is signed at the lower right corner, but unfortunately the signature cannot be read since it is faded. The first letter appears to be the letter “G”, perhaps someone with knowledge of Turkish art can identify the painter...
