The condition is very good, signed lower right G Carelli Venezia 1878.
Presented within a later wood and gilt frame with ivory mount. A very nice example by this well-known Italian artist.

A finely rendered painting of a raptor in a 19th century walnut frame with a gold fillet. Due to the consistency of the material and application on the manila paper, some wrinkling occurred, some of which was able to be professionally removed. Portrait of a Woman by Emile Kosa Jr. signed lower right on heavy watercolor paper. In excellent condition measuring 15" x 20".
Kosa exhibited at Los Angeles County Museum of Art in 1940, the Biltmore Salon in Los Angeles in 1941. He also showed his works in many other locals nationally including the Carnegie Institute, the Denver Museum, and the Frye Museum. He won dozens of awards in California and nationally from 1928-1961...

This fine, very large pair of watercolours are signed and dated by Tulloch Cheyne 1909. I purchased this from a Mrs Crossman of Swanton Abbott Hall, Norfolk around 1970. The family originated from Ashton Under Lyne so I would imagine these were purchased from the artist or a local galley and have not been on the open market since then.
The quality of these paintings is truly exceptional, both depicting mountainous Scottish scenes, one in the winter, the other in the Summer...
