Edouard Halouze well listed French artist, illustrator and decorator who was a frequent contributor to the Gazette du Bon Ton. He participated in an exhibition dedicated to "Fashion as seen by Painters" at the Musée des arts décoratifs in 1920. He developed a unique style in 1925 due to his use of cubist possibilities in décors, costumes and program covers for the French Music Hall. This gouache pochoir original, with typical 1920s subject matter, measures about 5" x 5"...

A mist-shrouded water scene in soft colors centers on a small houseboat being poled up a canal. This watercolor by contemporary Shanghai painter Zhao-Nian Xi, sealed by the artist in the lower right corner, is characteristic of his technique of using large muted or blank spaces to focus attention on one element. In his scenes of villages along a network of canals near Shanghai, he delivers in each a small, intimate look at one aspect of life. This watercolor is matted and is in excellent condit...
This is a large watercolor circa 1920 by Edgar PRITCHARD. This is a large 11 by 15 1/2 watercolor of a fall scene just after the sun has gone down leaving a afterglow in the sky. Colors are bright and fresh I do not think it was ever framed. We have it shrink wrapped with a creamy tan mat.I have been informed by a distant relative of Edgar Pritchard that this is by him and not by one of the English artists named Pritchard who died earlier.
In original frame, 20.5" x 25", inscribed to the memory of Susannah Osborn, Susannah Southwick and Ebenezar Southwick, (apparently from Peabody, Massachusetts.)
Appears to be an early 20thC watercolor. Framed under glass - the mat has faded. Signed EBMS in the lower right corner. Not examined out of the frame. 12-1/2" x 10".
