Fine mid century woodcut c.1950's. Titled "Clown". Signed "D. Childers" Original woodcut on paper. Dimensions 12 1/4" x 25". This woodcut print is covered in a plastic sheet for protection. The distressed frame is included in "as is" condition, and has no glass. Frame dimensions 22 1/2" x 39". The woodcut is in very good condition, and is from a very limited edition of 6/30. Pencil signed and inscribed. Can be shipped without the frame.
13.5" x 10.5" and in frame 19" x 15.5"Pair of bird prints "drawn from nature" by Alexander Wilson (1766-1813). Wilson was a Scottish American ornithologist, regarded as the greatest before Audubon. One reads includes the Mississippi Kite, Tennessee Warbler, Kentucky Warbler, and Prairie W. The other includes Slate Coloured Hawk, Ground Dove, and a Female. Alexander Lawson (1773-1846) is listed in Benezit Note: there is significant foxing.

Lot of 4 19th century hand colored engravings "Herrings" Fox Hunting Scenes. Each engraving is beautifully framed. Titles of the scenes are "The Meet", Full Cry", "Breaking Cover" and "The Death". Each engraving measures 37" x 26". Each frame measures 41" x 30". These engravings are in very good condition. Some of the frames have noticeable scratched and appear distressed. This is a great find. Sold as a lot of 4 only.
George Elbert Burr, American, 1859-1939, "Mt Byers, Colorado". This is a truly remarkable, very rare color etching and aquatint by George Elburt Burr. The image size is 6 7/8 x 9 3/4 inches, c. 1915, pencil signed and numbered "42", annotated "del et imp", indicating that this is a proof printed by Burr himself. George Elbert Burr studied at the Art Institute of Chicago for a short time, but was otherwise self taught...
This etching is old, and that adds to the Artwork some additional "flavor".
It is in a very a good condition.
