Offered is a large cast bronze closed vessel (Obelisk) studio art sculpture with green enameled finish by Pueblo, Colorado Artist. David Dirrim. The piece is 37” (H) x 8” (D) x 16” at the widest and is in very good to excellent condition with one chip to the enamel and no other chips cracks or repairs noted (see photographs). The piece is signed on the bottom "David, 1/3, 1997" in etching pen and was acquired at the CG Rein Gallery, Scottsdale, Arizona.

Antique Bronze horse and trainer after Guillaume Coustou's famous marble created for Louis XIV's chateau at Marly, and that now stand at the entrance to the Champs-Élysées in Paris. It depicts a dramatic scene of a fiercely rearing horse being restrained by a struggling groom. 19th century measuring 9" L x 18" W x 20" H. Good antique condition.

This dimunitive bronze horse was sculpted by Fred Kormis, born in Germany in 1897, and moved to England in 1934, where he lived and worked as a sculptor until his death in 1986. He studied art until the first World War, when he spent time in a Russian prisoner of war camp. After the war he resumed his studies and worked as a sculptor of portraits before emigrating to England in 1934, to escape Nazi Germany...
From the original work of Voltaire by Jean-Antoine Houdin, this bronze was cast by E. Jullien, at 12 Rue Pasquier, in Paris France in the late 19th century. Measuring 3 1/2" high, the bust itself was silvered, and some has worn away, showing highlights of the bronze beneath. The stamped mark of the foundry is on the back. With excellent detail, this little bronze is a fine replica of Houdin's classical work.

ASAKURA Fumio (1883-1964) was born in Oita Prefecture in 1883, and moved to Tokyo to stay with his brother and a sculptor, Osao Watanabe, when he was 19 years old. This 19th century statue of Napoleon by Emile Coriolan Hyppolyte Guillemin (1841-1907) measures an impressive 38.5" tall, 10.5" wide and 10.2" deep (97.8 by 26.7 by 26.7 cm). This wonderful bronze sculpture of two dogs after Thomas Cartier (1879-1943) is in fine condition. Measures 5.75" tall and 10" across (14.6 by 25.4 cm). Born in Marseilles, Cartier studied under Georges Gardet and is known for his models of hunting dogs and other animals. He exhibited at the Paris Salon starting in 1904 and thereafter throughout his career, winning an Honorable Mention medal in 1908 and Gold Medal in 1927.
