This is a Large 24 inch tall original bronze statue of David after the marble by Gian Bernini 1598-1680. This seems to be quite a scarce statue in bronze. We could find no auction records for this figure and could only find a Couple pictured that did not have the eagle at the base. We believe this was done in the 1800'S in Naples (Napoli) by the Fonderia Sommer or Chiurazzi. This bronze is in excellent condition and has a great patina...

This is a matched pair of lovely bronze figures representing Poetry And Music by the very well listed french artist Hippolyte Moreau 1832-1927. They are 18 inches tall with the bases of stone and wood. Both are in excellent condition with a lovely chocolate brown patina. One has a brass tag on the base. The other tag has been missing for a long time. We believe these to be from the 1920'S. Hard to find nice clean pair of bronze figures that have not been drilled for lamps...

This wonderful bronze sculpture of two dogs after Thomas Cartier (1879-1943) is in fine condition. Measures 5.75" tall and 10" across (14.6 by 25.4 cm). Born in Marseilles, Cartier studied under Georges Gardet and is known for his models of hunting dogs and other animals. He exhibited at the Paris Salon starting in 1904 and thereafter throughout his career, winning an Honorable Mention medal in 1908 and Gold Medal in 1927.

This lovely bronze after the German sculptor, Johann Philipp Ferdinand Preiss (1882-1943), depicts an exotic female dancer. Measures: 16.5 x 19 x 7 in (41.9 x 48.3 x 17.8 cm). Estimated weight: 25-35 lbs. Affixed to a variegated black and grey marble base. Signed "F Preiss". This piece was photographed in low light conditions, and the dark area toward the right side of some images is simply a shadow. There are no other markings other than the signature.
