This lovely terracotta sculpture, circa 1900. depicts three putti in what appears to be an allegory to spring. Measures 23.5" by 14" by 10", and is in very good condition. There are a few minor chip losses, surface dirt and scratches that are consistent with age, and signs visible from the underside of an old restoration. Signed "L Livi", this French artist is known to have worked in the late 19th and early 20th century.

Rare Yixing tea cup rinsing pot emulating iron, a very quirky piece of gongfu cha paraphernalia, usually these are made simply as trays with a drainable top. It is signed on the side, Pan Shi Ping, an active Yixing artist in his eighties and an acknowledged master in the craft (see last two enlargements in Chinese for reference).
