This pair of amazingly beautiful and rare turtles are sculpted from solid rock crystal and are set upon (but not affixed to) rectangular rock crystal pedestals. The pedestals measure 6.7 x 10 x 1 in (17 x 25.4 x 2.5 cm) and the sculptures each measure 6 x 9.5 x 3 in (15.2 x 24.1 x 7.6 cm). Age and origin are unknown. Condition is very good. This is a beautiful piece of rose colored agate that has been carved into a seal that has caught a fish in his mouth. The seal is attached to a green agate base using bee’s wax. It is not signed. The little sculpture measures about 2 1/2 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches tall (including the plinth).

Beautifully detailed sandstone sculpture depicting two small girls made by Helge Christofferne (1925-65) for Just Andersen, Denmark. Helge Christoffersen was trained as a sculptor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, he worked with artist like Einar Utzon-Frank, Rudolph Tegner, J.F. Willumsen and Jais Nielsen.
