This is one of the best ivory carvings in my collection. It is hand carved from pre-ban elephant ivory. The detail is excellent.
The carving is 3 1/2 inch high and 2 inches wide and deep. It weighs 159.1 grams.
The only issue that I see is that there was a flaw in the ivory on the top of the dog's head that has been filled. See photo.
