An entertaining English watercolour fantasy entitled: Asia, depicting a lady in a pavilion fanned by attendants. Approx. dimensions: 13 3/4 x 11 in. (framed: 18 ¼ x 15 ½ in.) c. 1940-50?.Excellent condition. The drawing has been mounted into a modern frame. It’s a fun pastiche in the 18th cent. manner, possibly part of a set depicting the Four Continents.

The lovely detailed sketch by Kate Greenaway (1846-1901) is drawn on paper of circular shape measuring 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The drawing depicts a full length figure of a young girl in period costume and wide-brimmed hat. Her arms are folded across her bodice.
