Nicolaes (Claus Pietersz) Berchem, Circle of, Dutch, 1620-1683. This pastoral landscape is oil on canvas. Overall dimensions are 21 1/2" by 32". It is an Italianate scene with very fine detail and color. It is in good condition and is quite lovely in a 19th C frame. This painting has been xrayed for age and appears to be 17th C. Berchem as well as circle of Berchem is listed in Benezit and his paintings are in numerous museums.

An autumn scene beautifully framed by birch trees with a 3 mast ship in the back. A typical New England scene by the 19th century New Bedford artist Louis K. Harlow (1850-1913). His paintings tend to be small. This one is unusually large. Water color and in a vintage wood frame.
28.5 by 18.5" image size with 2.5" width frame margin. Good condition with no stains.

A very fine oil on canvas after a famous work by the French painter Jean Baptiste Greuze (1725-1805). Probably French, the painting is unsigned and dates to the late 18th or early 19th century. Titled The Paralytic, the original Greuze painting is in the Hermitage. The painting was restored as follows: a polyester film was added to reinforce the back leaving the original canvas visible.
