English School portrait miniature of a young boy, in watercolor on ivory, circa 1820. The charming young man wears a black coat, a cream waistcoat, a white chemise and a black ribbon tie. He has lovely rosy lips and cheeks; there's a nice blue to sky. The portrait is set into a red leather traveling case. Sight size 3"; case measures 3 3/8". Condition is good: case is very worn inside and on the outer hinge area. Minor dust, one flake to his tie.

This is a signed Miniature Watercolor of circa 1900 Grand Mount Washington Hotel with its wonderful Tiffany Glass throughout located in New Hampshire, as it looked circa 1990 before it re-opened. She painted this in her USA Studio on a 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" 140lb watercolor paper and signed it Mimi Dee. Babe Ruth is one of the many famous men's lockers still there. The most adorable portrait of a baby holding a rattle, watercolor on card, circa the early 19th century. Set in a red leather case, lined with purple silk, this little painting has faded somewhat over the years, but the details of her sweet face, her cap and dress and rattle, are quite clear. Case is worn, but hinge and one hook (the other is missing) are functional. Measures 3” by 2 ½”.
