This is a wonderful painting by listed artist, Alfred Buchta (1880-1952), Vienna. Impressionistic style with broad strokes and great colors. I don't know when in his life it may have been painted. The canvas has been relined and there are some losses around the edge on the left and bottom, I assume from being in a frame. The size is 33" by 25". It is unframed. Buchta is listed in Davenport's and Artprice.com. Ranges in Davenport's are in the $2500-3500.00 range.

Moritz Stifter, 1857-1905, Austrian. Charming oil on panel is 6 1/4" x 12 1/2" in an exquisite 4 1/2" original gold leaf frame. Stifter was known for his portraits of women and this is an outstanding example of that portraiture. Stifter is listed in Benezit. His paintings sell for up to $25,000.
