A Wilson, 19th c British. This very rare and beautiflly painted Still Life is oil on canvas, signed lower right, A. Wilson. The detail is beautiful and has the unusual combination of flowers in a Metal Vase with beautiful detailed figures on it together with pearls and a necklace on a table with a silk fabric and a window in the background. It is 10"W by 14"H unframed and 17"W by 21"H framed and is in good condition.

This exceptional, large, framed gouache depicting two traveling musicians is attributed to the Royal Academy member, Charles Philip Slocombe (1832-1895). The subjects appear to be Italian or eastern European. Slocombe was a British painter who is said to have exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1850 to 1882, and whose works were published in "The Etcher".
