Here we have an early 19th century painting of a young child, or putti with red curls, piercing brown eyes, very much of the Italian school (although English school is written on the back). The coloration in the painting is beautiful. The child has creamy pale skin and the face is wonderful. It is framed in a contemporary baroque style frame. Fillipo Indoni, 19th C Italian. Oil on Canvas, signed mid lower right. this oil on canvas is typical of Indoni's portrait. It is 29" by 39" and if framed in a handsome 19th C original frame. Framed dimensions are 36" by 46". It has had a small repair in the upper background but no problems in the Figure itself. Antique Italian oil painting portrait of a Cardinal by J. Rampollo signed lower left and titled on the reverse. The painting c.1890 is oil on board measuring approx. 10 in. by 15.5 inches. Framed in a beautiful antique gilt frame measuring 16.5 in. by 22.5 inches. The painting is in excellent condition the frame has some minor losses but shows very nicely and is ready to hang. J. Pampollo a highly skilled painter know for portraits of Cardinals and clergy.
