A large, gloriously colored landscape inscribed "Fontanbleu Barbizon 1899" and signed lower right "Eugene de Mulertt" (B. 1869 D. 1963). Oil on canvas, the painting measures 20" x 30" without its frame, which is original and quite handsome, though dirty. The painting is in very good condition with no evidence of restoration. It may have an old relining. Born in Holland, Mulertt lived and worked in the United States for some time and retained his American clientele when he returned to Europe.... Click for details
