Nice combination watercolor and lithograph by Alexander Pope ( 1849-1924). Features dog with background landscape. Watercolor on paper. Unsigned but accompanied by resulting chromolithograph which is signed: "A. Pope Jr." lower right. Lower left publishing information: "Armstrong, Boston, 1880." Some staining to watercolor and spotting. Nicely matted and framed. interesting to see both images displayed together. Dimensions: 30" x 22" (overall).

SANDOR BERNATH (American, 1892-1984), is a well-listed watercolor artist of the mid 20th century. This probably in its original frame, 23'X 25". Bernath was known for his watercolors of sailing ships. He was a student of Edward Hopper, born in Hungary and emigrated to the United States at a young age. Watercolor by William Goodall (1757-1844). Goodall was educated at Eton and became an ordained priest of the Church Of England. He served as absentee rector at All Saints Church, Marsham, near Aylsham in Norfolk from 1787-1844. In 1788 he married the sole heiress of Dinton Hall, Buckinghamshire, making him lord of the manor and a Justice of the Peace for Bucks.
