A KATE GREENAWAY ORIGINAL WATERCOLOR of BUTTERCUPS. Circa 1880s. A fine small watercolor by Kate Greenaway (1846-1901). It is a lively study of buttercup flowers on paper measuring 2 1/4" by 4" and mounted in a museum quality acid-free double mat measuring 6 1/8" by 7 3/4". The image size is within an irregular pentagonal opening of approximately 2 1/8" (narrowing to 3/4") by 3 3/4". This is a nice original watercolor by the well listed english artist George Stanfield Walters 1838-1924.It is in its original frame.I do not know the harbor but there is enough details that it could be figured out.It is in ex. original condition.
