This is believed to be an original silver gelatin print either by or after the French artist, Angelo Asti (1807-1903). It depicts Erbluth, one of his more popular subjects. It resides under glass in an unusual period frame featuring raised, scrolling decoration in brass or bronze. Frame measures 23" by 28.5" and the exposed portrait measures 17" by 22".
