This is a great double page wood engraving image from a scarce 1865 issue of Frank Leslies newspaper.It shows 27 different fire engines used in New York and names them all.It is in great cond. with a few minor spots and wrinkles. Leslies paper is much rarer than Harper's Weekly. There is only one complete set in institutions in the Us. This is the best image of this type you will ever find.

Antique Mezzotint of a Shepherd finding a group of 3 ladies, the three graces?
Framed and glazed in original frame with wooden plank backing, pre 1900.
original gold mount with centre dia of 8 inches, overall measurements 14 1/4 inches x 14 1/4 inches.
Condition very good. Frame is a little tatty but overall very good. Mezzotint itself is superb.

Engraved print and facsimile autograph of Tsar Alexander II, Emperor of All the Russias. The plate was engraved after the original painting by noted American artist Alonzo Chappel. Chappel is mostly known for his paintings of great Americans such as Lincoln and the Founding Fathers, and the subject of a Russian Czar is unusual.
