Untitled bronze sculpture, 7 3/4" high, 5 3/4" wide, 2 1/2" deep, on the artist's wood plinth (5 1/4" long, 3 7/8" wide, 1 1/4" deep), the sculpture secured to the plinth with a a screw in a hole drilled for it on the underside of the plinth; unsigned, the artist's small studio label ("WM49") on the top of the plinth in one corner. This golden bronze, on a marble base, by Robert Bousquet is a fine example of his work. Bousquet was born in 1894 and died in 1917 at the age of 23.His work was exhibited in the Paris Salon from 1912-1914.
