Contemporary jadeite carving. This is a very nice newer carving. The color is unusual, light blue green with a little amber spread here and there. Carved as an ear of corn with the husk peeled off, a small plant (maybe pepper) is carved around the bottom.

Contemporary jadeite carving of a fairy spirit named Liu-Hai. His right hand is holding a three legged frog called ¡°Chan¡±; a string of clouds extends from Chan¡¯s mouth. On the back of the carving is a large fan and on the top of the fan sits a lucky bat. Very interesting carving in good condition.
H: 3 ½ inches, W: 2 ¾ inches, D: 1 ¾ inches

Spectacularly carved cedar mythical dodo bird with Bavarian crest, 19th century. Probably influenced by crazy King Ludwig of Bavaria with his Wagnerian taste for the bizarre. Measures 50" high by 19" deep by 17" wide, attached to tripodal base. Promise you will not see it elsewhere.
