The Marble Sculpture measures 18" tall x 9" at the base. This appears to be a Sculpture by Constantin Brancusi.(1876-1957). This Sculpture was purchased from an Estate in Highland Park in Dallas, Texas. It was used as a decoration for a private pool at that particular Estate. This Abstract Sculpture is not signed. This 9.75" t. x 11.5" x 10.75" hand-carved wooden sculpture of a cow and her calf is a fine example of Haitian art. The entire piece seems to have been carved from a single block of wood and then polished by hand, where the artist desired to do so. The mother is tethered to a stump, and you can see the rope trail off behind her. The ground is nicked and textured, and also has some greenish patination.
