This work measures approximately 8 1/2" and is mounted on a black enamel base. Provenance: from the artist's nephew. Constance Freedman was an associate of the Royal Society of British Sculptors (ARBS). Her works have sold in the major auction houses, and she is listed in the usual databases and reference works.

Clyde Ball is a contemporary American sculptor who was born and raised in Indiana and attended the Art Institute of Chicago in the fifties.

It is signed "Ruth Lee Leventhal" and dated "75" on the bronze base. This sculpture also bears a brass plaque giving the name of the artist, the title of the work, and the abbreviation FRSA (Leventhal was a fellow of the Royal Society of Artists, London). He has an extensive exhibition record. This work measures approximately 16" with the base, 13" without. It is signed "Rene Shapshak" in incised script on the lower part of the sculpture.
