This is a lovely gilt bronze chryselephantine bust in the Art Nouveau manner by the French sculptor, Georges Flamand (active 1895-1925). Measures 8" by 3.5" by 3" and weighs 3 lbs. 5 oz. Cast signature reads "G Flamand". This item resides with our client on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in New York, and may be seen by appointment.

This wonderful old bronze figurine depicting an exotic, semi-nude Egyptian female dancer, features cold-painted decoration and cloisonne enamel decoration on the top of the platter she holds above her head. Measures 14" by 5" by 3" and weighs 3 lbs. 8 oz. There are some losses to the stone pedestal and the original mounting nut has been replaced. This nut extends very slighly beyond the bottom surface and should be replaced so the figurine stands perfectly flat. No signature has been found. ... Click for details

It measures 7.75" by 4" by 2.25 (19.7 by 10 x 5.7 cm) and weighs 1 lbs. 9 oz. Inscribed signature in the onyx stone base reads "g omerth". Delightful 17" Bronze Statue of Young Woman carrying Basket. With braced footing, she reaches up to her hair as a stong wind blows her way, catching the basket, her dress, and scarf. We find no signature, nor foundry mark; the felt base cover has not been removed. 5.50" (13.97 cm) diameter base, 17" (43.18 cm) overall height. Excellent condition, with no cracks, no repairs, no damage of any kind. A nice, dark patina which is most accurate in photo no. 5. c. 1940-70. $35 US Shipping.

This old bronze figurine depicts a chiseled man running on top of a wheel with wings. Signed "H Muller" with umlaut over the letter u. Measures 16.75" by 12" by 7.5" and weighs an estimated 8-12 lbs. Pedestal measures 4" by 3.75" by 3.5". Original hardware and overall condition suggests this piece dates from the early twentieth century, likely the 1910s to 1920s.

Drunken Silenus with Bacchante and Satyr, Model: Probably French, c. 1700, after designs by Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640), Bronze Dore, 18.5 cm (7-1/4 in.), only 5 other known models each varies slightly in its details; Musee du Louvre, Musee d'Art Decoratifs, Stockholm, Braunshweig, and Wallace Collection, London. This is the only known gilt-bronze version of the composition.

He studied at the Rhode Island School of Design from 1938 to 1941 and after graduating attended the Art Students League for an additional year. He taught from 1942 to 1957, last at Deerfield Academy. Among Gunn's dozens of public (and private) commissions are the War Memorial in Greenfield, Mass. (his most monumental work) and sculptures for the Boston Symphony Orchestra... Click for details
