Hollow-cast metal sculpture, 4 1/4" high, 4 1/2" long, 2 3/4" wide, the surface finished to resemble bronze, applied gray-tone patina; unsigned. Attached (via two nut / bolt combinations, from the underside of the base) to a piece of veined black marble, 5" long, 3 1/4" wide, 3/4" high. Fine condition. The sculpture, while only in imitation of small-format bronzes, is finely modeled, and its presentation, on a marble base, is superior. Probably, circa 1930s.

Extraordinary apprx. 30" x 18" x 14" mixed metal sculpture of sprouting seed, done in mixed metals, with medium brown patina. A work of exceptional craftsmanship, and a one of a kind piece. Purchased from a Chicago estate as a sculpture by Helene Hibben (b. 1882), but the piece is not signed, so I am unable to document it is such. It certainly stands on it's own as a very fine sculpture.
