Time Lewis, born 1952, is a self taught stone carver. He lives in the mountains of Kentucky. He has been in the Army and traveled for years, doing oil well digging, strip mining, and logging. Inspired by Appalachian self taught artists Minnie Adkins and his cousin Junior Lewis. This sandstone piece was carved in 1999 and is 22" tall x 19" wide x 9-1/2" deep. Condition: perfect.
Outstanding examples of Tim Lewis' work are currently on display at The High Museum in Atlanta.
