José Ramón Lerma, an abstract artist from the Salinas Valley, was the first Chicano artist to attend a formal art school. Key member of the Beat art scene in San Francisco in the early 60's with many solo exhibitions at seminal gallery spaces. Lerma has shown at Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art, Museum of Albuquerque, Oakland Museum, The San Francisco Museum of Art, and on. In 2000 a major retrospective of his work was held at Intersection for the Arts. Mixed media, signed verso.

A superb enamel on copper portrait miniature by Jean Andre Rouquet. The sitter, dressed in an embroidered red jacket, ia a royal personage, evidenced by the ermine trimmed robe or cloak on his lap.
The condition of the miniature is excellent, with bright colors, no cracks, and no restoration. The duller areas along the edges are due to the way the light reflects off the curved edges. The early 19th century ormolu frame also is in fine condition...
This is a large 30 inch tall 70 lb. statue by the well listed French artist Paul Romain Chevre 1867-191. This exact bronze was the one shown at the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair. It was purchased by the original owner at the Fair. It is listed in the Fair books under the French art section.We are the third person to own it since shown at the fair.The bronze is in excellent condition with some wear spots to the Lacquer here and there as it is 120 years old...

An absolutely charming American portrait miniature, on organic material, of a young child. The sitter, holding a ring toy, is in a white dress with red ribbons on the sleeves. Housed in a period and extremely high quality gilt-edged leather case with working clasp and a velvet interior.
The condition of this fine example is excellent, with no cracks, chipping, or restoration. The case is also in very fine condition, with a few minor and expected scuffs...
This is a original Maxfield Parrish lithograph done by the Grignard Litho Co. This was issued in 1905 by Charles Scribners sons Ny. as part of a stand alone set of 4 Parrish prints.The image is 10 1/2 by 16 which is much larger than the book illustration was.This image is very hard to find with its original margins and title. Most were cropped to fit in a frame.The colors on this are also very good compared to the few we found online.This was recently framed and has a acid free mat and backing...

Clowns are a subject which French artist Georges Rouault (1871-1958) visited often, as in the case of wood cut print we offer, which was created in 1932. The print is signed in the block. Condition is visually excellent but not viewed outside of the frame.
