This beautiful Red Cedar Santos set carving is made by well-known carver Jacob Salazar Taos New Mexico. He is related to master carver Ernesto Salazar and Leonardo Salazar. Carvings are 12-¾ inch and 13-½ inch tall.

Charming Chinese soapstone carving of two children, beautifully carved with much attention to detail, two boys one holding a long string with coins for good luck and prosperity, the other with a straw hat and fan, symbols of the lucky gods. The soapstone itself is a very beautiful yellow color with striations and much character. On nice hard wood base. Total size with stand: 5 1/4" high Size of carving: 3 1/2" high x 3 7/8" wide x 2 1/8" deep.
