Beautiful fine Thai lacquerware and egg shell mosaic decorative plate with display stand. Unique to say the least. The shape for this handmade piece of art is a woven bamboo plate. The artisan drys the weaving and then starts weeks of layering with the lacquer. Each layer needs to then be smoothed by hand with water and a liquid abrasive, until a flawless glass like surface is created.
