Formed as logs entwined with vines and flowers, these cuff links have a Victorian sensibility, but bear the Krakow assay mark for .800 silver, dated 1986-present. There is an unidentified maker’s mark of ZL. The logs are hollow. The marks have been struck on the smaller anchor bars. The longer sides measure about 1 ¼ inches long and about ¼ inch in diameter. This very substantial money clip is also quite secure. It is decorated with molded ridged lines in an openwork art deco-revival design. The middle ridged design is gilded. The undecorated back bears the Polish marks for sterling silver, post-1985, as well as other marks as yet unidentified. The mark indicates regional assay office of Poznan.
