During the heyday of British Airway's service on the Concorde, VIP passengers were treated to an ever-changing variety of gifts--lugggage tags, silver decanter labels, airplane models, etc. This "Mini World Atlas" is such an example. The small book is bound in gray leather, and the front cover is embossed in silver with the Concorde logo. The pages are also gilt in silver. The book's spine is uncracked and it has never been used.

As the war progressed, there was a shortage of precious metal, so military decorations were often worked in bronze, in this case gilt white bronze. Very large vase in two colors ochre and lavender with white "flame" marks between the two colors. The vase looks as if it has candles surrounding it. The interior of the vase has a smooth bump between the two colored halves suggesting the use of the incalmo technique in forming the vase...
A 5-5/8" long sterling silver honey serving spoon and 4-1/8" sugar tongs in the Tudor Scroll flatware pattern, introduced by Birks in 1919 - it had been out of production for some time. The honey spoon has a narrow flattened rim unlike the similarly shaped sugar shell and both items are in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some tiny denting to the back of the spoon and a W monogram on each piece.
