Offered is a rarely found, Ca 1920s, celluloid mourning pin back brooch featuring a young African American man.
Constructed of celluloid with a metal back and pin to allow attachment to one's clothing, this diminutive mourning pin measures just 7/8th inch in diameter.
The image remains quite crisp with surface crackling of the celluloid that does not effect the integrity of the overall structure of the pin...

This would hang on the kitchen wall and you can put a pencil/pen through one of the hands and the paper would be stuck to apron. Someone has some point has stuck an old kitchen related card to it I would say.
There is crack running through, near the top of the apron, but nothing comes away and seems to have been repaired many years ago...
Nicely made piece, I am presuming here that this is for some kind of incense, there is a hole at the side of the head where you would put your incense and smoke would then come out of the eyes...

This is an 1890's one of kind large Black Americana Toy. There will not be another of these...
turn the handle (a little stiff) and the Boys will do a jig. The old Box lid is marked "Members of the Lime Kiln Club" and "Old Kentucky Home".
The Lime-Kiln Club was a fictitious fraternal organization of African-Americans created by a Journalist/Writer in the late 1800's
Open the lid and there are 6 fantastic characters....

This is a really good size tin plate toy, open the box lid (instructions inside the lid) and you press the triggers to move the Characters.
Some wear to the box lid edges and one split to the box lid corner, otherwise in great condition and in working order.
