Authentic antique 18th century, Revolutionary war period, American rifleman's powder horn, ca. 1770-1780; made of a hollowed-out cow horn, with oval wood base secured with small wood pins ended with carved nozzle wrapped in thread.
CONDITION: In its original condition with a superb mellow old patina, an old crack in the nozzle...
Quirky set of Tibetan tools/utensils in copper and shagreen sheath. The blades and other bits are good quality steel with good bone handles. Possibly a surgeons or dentists set, I honestly don’t know- there are no chopsticks or forks, as is typical, so I don’t think these were used for eating. The knife has a good edge, this will clean up with a bit of baking powder and effort. All pieces in good condition and functional. Old circa 19th CE. See scale in last enlargement.

Scarce antique 19th Century variant of the French Model 1866 unmarked Sword Bayonet for the Chassepot rifled musket with X serial number. The typical Yatagan shape blade with a wide, flat spine and broad single fuller. The spine and ricasso of the blade are unmarked. Ribbed brass grip, the mortice slot bears inside number “4”. steel crossguard with down turned guillion and muzzle ring is stamped with serial marks “X 70652”...
Excellent quality, semi-Antique, South American, Argentinian cowboy's Gaucho, knife/dagger "FACON" from, the mid-20th century or earlier, with a very sharp 17.5 cm long steel blade, the cutting edge 5.5 cm from the point is serrated.
The blade is finely etched on both sides with gauchos and cattle.
The handle is made of natural deer antler with silver alpaca pommel adorned with a finely repousse and engraved with foliage...
This is a great example of the British-Australian sword bayonet (Mark I), which was designed to be used with the short magazine Lee Enfield (SMLE) rifle. The Pattern 1907 bayonet was used by the British and Commonwealth forces during the First and Second World Wars.
This particular bayonet was manufactured in Australia during WWII for the No.1 MkIII Enfield rifle. It is commonly known as the SHT.LE, SMLE, S.M.L.E., "Smelly" etc...
