A vintage hand painted wartime (disarmed) 17-1/2" mortar bomb with the stamped identification SSE 42 1-1/2 LBT. It has caged fins for stability and it has a an eyehook from which it was suspended from wire for display. It is painted in white, black, red and white and it has the legend "The Brig" in script. The center of the Air Crew Member design is necely detailed and has light wear on some of the highlights from handling. The front of the wings have a dark grey6 patina.
