An unusual buff colored bowl by Ron Carlos from the Salt River Reservation. Ron is Pima/Maricopa and is making traditional pottery.

This small bowl is stone burnished buff slip, which is difficult to work with. His paint is orange, maybe a slip. Pit fired.

A happy singing grandfather storyteller by the original artist Helen Cordero. Born in 1915 at the Cochiti Pueblo in New Mexico, died 1994. Helen Cordero was inspired by her Grandfather who was a storyteller of the old songs. Her first pottery figure was made to honor him.
