This is a rare jadeite jade carving. It is carved from a single piece of raw jade stone, with natural two colors: the skin is yellow, while the inside is very light blue green. The yellow skin is carved into a basket. The light green part is finely carved into lot of treasures: jewelry, shoe-shape gold, and peanuts. It's size is about 4.5 by 2.5 inch, the height is 2 inch. Not an old piece, but a very well carved attractive snuff bottle. The body is black with a layer of clear and imbedded with silver foil. The outer layer is opaque white and has an elegant li Dragon on each side. The cap is carnelian with a nice bamboo spoon. It is about 2 3/4" tall and comes with the nice carved hardwood stand. It was carved within the last decade. A good quality for the asking price and a good value that will increase in worth.

A very old and interesting keris handle from Madura ( please see my other listings for information on Madura island ). Shows strong Chinese influence ( there has been extensive trade between Indonesia, the Arabs, India, and the Chinese for 2500 years ). Beautiful wear and patina, I would estimate this one to be at least 150 years old. Cracks are from shrinkage and are old and stable. A fine and unusual item. 3 1/4" by 1 1/4".

I was told when I came upon this carved jade beast that the jade came from the floor tiles of an ancient temple. I am not sure of this origin, but it is a very attractive piece of jade, not jadite or nephrite. It represents a mixture of animals, tiger, dragon, dog and perhaps a few others. It is about 10 years old, nicely hand carved and 3 1/4" long. A unique oddity from China.

This very fine quality reverse painted snuff bottle was made within the last decade. It is optical quality, pure glass crystal. Very heavy and thick. Elegant reverse painted flowers and birds show clearly through the bottle. Good carnelian stopper with metal spoon. Prisms light in an everchanging display of the interior painting. A wonderful bottle that is 3 1/2" tall and about 2 1/2" wide at top.
