Gold plated sterling silver set with coral, turquoise, emerald and ruby stones. Vajrayogini, formed from coral pieces, holds a skull cup, kartika and golden staff. Inside, a four armed Chenresig in turquoise stones sits on a coral lotus surrounded by emeralds, rubies and golden filigree. Made in the Kathmandu Valley by artisans now working in Lhasa to repair the temples there. Contemporary, 2 3/4" (7 cm.)wide, 4" (10 cm.) high; the box itself is 3/4" deep. Weight: 167 grams.

A contemporary painting on old local paper in gold and polychrome of Radha and Krishna, the eternal lovers, in the middle of trees, peacocks and a peahen, from Andhra Pradesh, India. The painted area measures about 8 x 7 inches on a 13 x 8.5 inches of paper. The painting is in very good condition, with a small tear on the upper right corner, visible on the picture.

This is a contemporary Mithila (also called Madhubani) painting on handmade paper of Durga slaying the buffalo demon, from Bihar, India. The powerful goddess, Durga, astride her tiger mount, lunges her spear at the demon, whose buffalo head has been cut off and human head appearing. Durga has ten arms holding different implements.
