Kato Kenji is famous for his Shino Oribe and other Mino wares and it is no wonder. This fine and large mizushashi is a terrific example of his work. Beautifully porportioned and perfectly glazed and fired, it is a massive solid piece, with just enough "looseness" ( potters finger markes ) to soften things. Perfect for cha no yu tea ceremony. About 9" tall and 6 1/2" diameter. Signed box.
