This is a brand new Kimono fabric from deadstock. It's summer silk called RO, and it's little bit see-through type of soft silk. Very lovely texture, and has delicate painted patterns of Peony flower bouquet, on top of wheels. Background color is light yellow, and jade green around the flowers. This is a brand new Kimono fabric from deadstock. It's smooth silk, and has Yuzen painted flower patterns all over in frames of Shibori. How did they do it? In pure white silk, they tye-dyed to leave white rooms for Yuzen paint later, and dyed the rest of the fabric with pink and yellow. Then when Shibori was finished, they used those white frames to paint Peony blossoms using Yuzen method. Effect is simply breathtaking.
