This Belsnickle or Santa is on his way to deliver toys to good boys and girls and not such a happy treat to bad ones. He has his toy sack on his back and a switch in hand. There are 3 trees on the platform, 2 of which are splinter trees. Santa is one of the most loved Christmas figures. This Santa ornament is wearing a long red coat or robe with white trim and mica. In his arms he is carrying a tree. He is in lovely condition. Very nice vintage pulp black cat on a picket fence Halloween lantern. The cat retains his original scary paper face insert.Origin: America, circa 1930. Condition: original paint, a few small touch-ups, a couple of tears on the back side, there is a hole in the bottom for a candle and the top of the head in the back has been cut away a little (probably to cut out a burn spot). Size: 7-3/4" tall.
