An original Civil War era diploma from the Louisville Female High School. It is printed on vellum or a good imitation and hand signed by eight of the school's administrators and teachers, date of 1867. Mid 20TH Century around 1940-1950 or later Scalloped Tray done in the style of Quimper. This very attractive tray, which is scalloped almost feels like paper mache. Good Condition and probably dates from the middle of the 20th Century, approximately 1950. It measures 22" in diameter. On the front is a nice scene of a man and lady meeting with their costumes, and the male possibly gave her some flowers. The back of the tray is marked--THE STRATA GROUP MCMXC HAND PAINTED, THAILAND.
